Daylight robbery!! Was charged $140.00 for the service call after declining the work. Repair was quoted @ $450.00 to replace the heating element in the lower oven in a double wall unit. Part was $27.00 and required removing 2 screws to change. Bran new oven same size and model retails for $500.00

I REPEAT THIS REVIEW BECAUSE NOBODY RESPONDS TO ME. THE REPLY IS NOT FROM A PERSON. THEY JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR REPUTATION OR SERVICE!! STAY AWAY!!! BTW I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR 15 YEARS - NO LONGER. Just terrible experience. Nobody to talk to. Technician ordered parts and sears sent wrong parts then realized it was a frame needed which is what original tech said. Couldn't get frame so they offered me 499 or another non comparable treadmill and I said no, then they offered me 599 which is what I paid for it. Been 5 weeks and still not received check. Will never use their extended warranty again. Bought new treadmill from Costco and don't need extended warranty they will take it back even after 7 years.

I was on the phone for over 3 hours before I scheduled my appointment with sears. Here is what I was told. They told me I had a 10 year warranty on my compressor. They said the part would be covered and I would have to pay for the labor. I would have to pay $119 diagnostic fee but that would come off my labor cost if I repaired the refrigerator. I was also told i would receive a written price for the repair before deciding. They said they would put all of this information in a note to the technician. However, when the technician arrived, he knew nothing. He said I only had a one-year warranty and it would cost me approximately $1250 to fix it. No written estimate for repair cost. He also said the diagnostic fee would not be applied to my labor cost. He also charged me $127.95 labor fee for taking 2 screws out of the fridge and feeling the compressor. "YUP, it's hot". I should have been charged $119 diagnostic fee, which should have been applied to my repair and the part should have been under warranty. He said this was not true... how can the people on the phone tell me something so different from the technician. This is just wrong. I would have never set up the appointment!

Yes. You shouldn’t be concerned. Sears is required to meet certain regulatory requirements designed to provide for enough resources to honor Sears’s future warranty obligations.
