Really lovely place to visit and explore. Highly recommend the plant walks with Derek; he is very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. Overall, a really great place to spend some time in nature.

So much better then last year. They gave it a well needed face lift...good place to hike the day away.

One of my favorite places to hike. The variety of the trails offered is wonderful. The trails are super clean and well marked

Questions & Answers

Is there a campground?

Sarah Harden | Oct 10, 2021
Pocono Environmental Education Center | Oct 10, 2021

Sarah, We have individual, family-sized cabins and larger lodges for groups. The cabins have heat, electricity, and a full bath. If you are looking for tent camping sites, we'd recommend Dingmans Campground: 570-828-1551.

Hi, Betty, Thanks for checking with us. We'd love to have the fossils, etc.; I'm sure there are many we could add to our geology lesson. If you are able to bring them here, we'll be glad to help you unload them. Also, if you don't mind bringing them during the week (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm), it would be easier in many ways. With the nice weather, our weekends have been quite busy. Thanks again, Janine

Can you hunt in the Environmental Center on the property

Thank you...i understand fully.. my concern is the trails are not marked safely zone...a stranger to the area would never know you could not hunt these trails...if you have to come up to the door of the campus to know you can't hunt that leaves a lot to be desired... thank you i will pass on this information... better signs are needed in this beautiful area..

Yes, ticks and some poison ivy, it is in a National Park with trails and trees and grass. No bed bugs, though.

Best to call PEEC on Monday. They would know or be able to find out.
