I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Goodman. She was very thorough; kind and I was very impressed with her. She went as far as letting me try a new type contacts before billing my insurance. She also was able to identify problems with my retina that previous Dr.’s have missed. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Positive: Friendly staff. Plus there was no pupil dilation with drops was required. Negative: Was diagnosed incorrectly with wrong contact and eyeglass prescriptions for a couple of years. Even went back for adjustment and to check eyes again but it didn’t help. Went to Optivision in Cortland and got correct prescription which was weaker then was diagnosed with at Tburg Optical. Which is why my vision was blurry...prescription was too strong! And also received the correct contacts for astigmatism. I can finally see again! Every time I had a vision exam at Tburg Optical my vision so happened to get worse. Coincidence?! I hope not but wonder if that’s how they try to make more money since I’d have to get new glasses and contacts. That or their doctor or machines aren’t accurate. Also incorrectly told about my insurance benefits coverage. Telling me that I had to order glasses or contacts that same day as my exam or would lose benefit. I called insurance company and had 90 days. Convenient days/hours but any good doctor shouldn’t have to work on a Saturday. That’s what I was told by a good eye doctor.

We recommend having a pediatric eye exam beginning at one year old. There are many health problems that can be detected during an eye exam, and starting early gives our eye doctor a good baseline history to monitor your child's vision progression over the years.

We edge your lenses on site, which cuts down on the wait time. Our eye doctor can also save you money by putting new lenses in your current frames!
We do carry many contact prescriptions in our inventory. Contact our optometrist today to see if we have your prescription in stock, or to schedule your annual eye exam.
We offer vision appointments Monday through Friday from until 5 pm, and we are also open on Saturday mornings, from 9 am until 12 pm. We look forward to speaking with you!
We currently accept Davis Vision, VSP, March Vision and Eyemed vision palns. For major medical, we are an in-network provider for Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Sheild, Aetna, MVP, and Empire Plan. Because there are often changes in insurance companies and coverage, it is best to contact our office to see if you are eligable under you insurance.
