I've been spoiled with the ability to swing by this incredible family-owned farm stand for years. Once you start buying locally grown produce you just can't quite bring yourself to buy anything from the grocery store. At least not while it is in season. Oliver's Produce is five star in itself, another five stars for the produce they offer. The staff are friendly even when they are swamped with veggie-loving people, always doing their best to answer your culinary questions. Locals know you have to get there early for your favorites. (They have the best cherry tomatoes in the region and their watermelon = OMG!!) If you happen to press your luck, going late in the day on a Holiday Weekend, don't blame them if they are sold out of local fan favorites, like sweet corn. That's on you and your poor planning, not their level of care and service to the community. My family has been going to Oliver's for years and our best advice to new folks — swing by and fetch your produce the day before you need it, or plan to arrive by mid-morning. Don't go to a farm stand expecting it to be like Wegmans. Go to a farm stand because you value your local farmer, want to SUPPORT your local farmer, and feed your family the BEST tasting FRESH local food.
