The owner/operator Gyan O'rouke is very talented, creative and helpful. She is pleasant and cares deeply about what she does. She works on wedding dresses, formals and every day wear. She also makes clothes the old fashion way. She can even design a pattern in some cases.

This place was horrible and very unprofessional!! Our daughter's wedding dress was practically ruined!!! We brought the dress to them in early June and the wedding wasn't until August 21, 2015. When we came back mid-July to pick up my daughter's dress, the dress fit horribly and the lady hadn't even sewn in the breast cups, which we'd brought to her...she didn't even remember us giving them to her, and then when my daughter and I both insisted that we had absolutely brought them in with the dress, she said "Oh, I think I sewed them in the wrong dress" and laughed about it!!! When she saw we were not laughing, then, she went and found the original cups that we'd brought to her!!! She was already charging too much to alter this dress, but wanted more money to fix a problem that she made with the dress! Also, the bustle that she did was horrible and ugly... she had to fix that too. Every time she would "fix" one thing, she'd mess up something else!!! We had to come back 4 times, and each time she had messed up something else!! Needless to say, we were devastated when the last fitting was 1 week before the wedding and she still hadn't fixed it right!!! She said, "Well, give me another chance and I'm not going to charge you anything." I told her that we appreciate that she wasn't going to charge us; but we had been very patient and given her many chances to get things right, and since we only had 1 week until the wedding, we were going to need to take the dress somewhere else to get it fixed if we could find a place that could do it. I also told her that she should pay to have my daughter's dress altered somewhere else because this had been a complete nightmare instead of a wonderful, exciting occasion and now it would cost even more to get it fixed on short notice!!! She started crying and said she would pay for us to get it fixed somewhere else...Thank God we found Lotus Bridal & Alterations just up the street!!! We took it there and the owner could see how distraught we were and how messed up the dress was...she was a godsend!!!! She had pity on us, with less than a week to fix the dress... she had to work very hard and many long hours to fix it, but THANK GOD she did it!!! We actually couldn't pick up the dress until 11:30 am the day before the wedding...we were stressed the entire time; not knowing if the dress would actually be fixed, and there was NO TIME left!! Thankfully Lotus Bridal & Alterations saved the day!!! Very reasonably priced considering she had to work under extremely short time constraints and all the fixes that had to be done!!! The only thing I can say good about Alteration Junction is that they did pay to have our daughter's dress fixed.
