Large spacious, pleasant, nicely decorated dining area, two stories high. Good service. Omelette decent. Hashbrowns good - cooked scattered with a little color, not mushy or greasy, some actual potato flavor. Large parking area adjacent, good for large rigs. But don't know who owns it.

Solo traveler here: SO GOOD! I bought the quesadilla bites because it comes with a blackberry dipping sauce, so I just had to try it. Odd but delicious! I had the special of the day; ribs with the fixin's. The baked beans were the best I've had. The whole meal and service was wonderful!!

We just had dinner at The Hitching Post tonight, 4/19/2022. We ordered liver and onions that came with a small soup and salad and beef stroganoff that came with a small soup and salad. The soups were okay, had to add a lot of salt for flavor, they were kind of bland. The liver and onions were okay they did make extra onions that we asked for. The green beans were served cold and the loaded baked potato did not come loaded, it was only served with cheddar cheese. The beef stroganoff was completely bland and unedible. I don't know how anyone could eat that and enjoy it, one taste was enough for me and my husband tasted it and agreed. There was no hint of sour cream, no flavor, just shredded stringy beef in a bland gravy sauce, it was more like mush. When the server asked us how everything was we were honest. They didn't discount anything on the bill until we asked if they would. The manager came over with horrible customer service skills and a horrible attitude and said this is just the way we make it, it's our recipe. It was a recipe for disaster is what it was. As we waited for them to discount the bill about 10 more minutes, they came back and said they would take 10% off that dinner which equated to $1.30. when the server was asked by the manager about the loaded baked potato not being served the way it was ordered she lied about what was said. All in all it was a terrible experience we will never go back. As we left and told the server we wouldn't be back, her comment was, we won't hold it against you. I couldn't even believe my ears. I said, well, we will hold it against you. I would not recommend this restaurant just from the way we were treated as customers let alone how bad the food was.

Personable service. Fair pricing. My Cajun pasta was fabulous. The salad bar was good. Cherry pie was a grade above average.
