Bitter Creek Rest Stop

You know, it's sad that Wyoming can't do better with its rest stops. Other states have the top of the line vending machines and bathrooms spaced a lot closer than every 125 miles. I get it, they want to try and force people into towns to spend money. But some of us just don't want to go into towns or are just tired and need a quick refreshment and a nap. When I use the water in the restroom and caught it in my hands, it was murky. Not sure what is up with that, so I passed on getting a drink at the water fountain! Wyoming could do so much better!

It’s not the most modern rest stop but given the surrounding salt flats and prairie it sure does do the trick. Walked the dog and heeded the warnings about watching for snakes and scorpions.

Very nice rest area. My family are lunch here in one of the picnic areas. There was a great view of the desert. Plus they had a family restroom which was a great help.

Fairly large rest area. Plenty of covered picnic areas to go around. I like that the tables are not only covered but also have partial walls that provide some extra escape from the harsh sun and wind. Lots of space to walk yourself, your spouse, and the pets. The restrooms were sad though. Zero toilet paper in either bathroom and not very clean. The view is pretty great despite there is nothing here. The cell service is great. Caution to all truckers that there is limited semi parking and you are literally right next to the interstate. And last but not least a pokemon gem...so stop.
