I purchased carpet from Independent 5 years ago and they also installed it. The carpet started to raise up in the center of my room producing a trip hazard. I called Independent to see what could be done about it. The lady who answered seemed a bit puzzled and put me on hold for a while. She came back stating, "5 years is long time," whatever that meant and gave me a number to someone who supposedly repairs floors and told me to call him. I called and left a couple messages, but no one ever returned my call. Independent did not even offer to come out and look at the carpet to see what the problem was. I then called another local company and the first thing they said was that they would be happy to come check out our carpet problem without hesitation even though they did not sell it to us. They had my carpet repaired within two weeks. It just needed some stretching. I will not be going back to Independent ever for any flooring needs. I have found a better place in the area with AMAZING customer service who will help you quickly and professionally.

I recently purchased flooring for my entire home. Janet Wood was great to work with. The quality and selection of the flooring was outstanding. Their service and installation team were very professional. Steve did a great job. My contractor when he saw their work said “he isn’t an installer, he is a craftsman.” I couldn’t be more satisfied with their work.

Terrible experience with their installment team. First, they stunk my house up with Cigarette smoke. 2nd, nicked up my newly painted walls and tried covering up their mistakes with putting the extra roll of carpet in front of it. 3rd the two employees didn’t vacuum the shaving up after installing carpet. Lastly, tracked dirt and mud through out the whole house. Just an awful experience with Independent Flooring. I would highly recommend going else where.
