Terrible organization. CHN openly exploits homelessness and does not account for their unfortunate misgivings. Take an individual out of homelessness, house the individual on a "Permanent Supportive Housing grant"...that is their sales pitch. They refuse to educate homeless individuals on laws, grants, legislation, as well as refuse to properly reintegrate homeless people into the community. They themselves do not follow their own policies/regulations, granted neither does HUD, or seemingly any other government entity. MSHDA has access to 995 million in federal funding...CHN is a local HARA and PHA with Continuum of Care members - the sole purpose of these labels is to directly answer to and account for any and all housing related matters in our state. CHN is a nonprofit that allocates government funding, and they are not regulated or monitored in a way that makes any sense, toward the betterment of our community. During these last 2 years, CHN has significantly failed in correctly allocating CERA funding, and just as well, have not properly handled rent raises, landlord/tenant disputes, or representation for homeless people, deemed "Chronically Homeless/Literally Homeless and Mentally Ill". These labels qualify an individual to gain funding for housing, due to the fact that these inherent labels show that the homeless individual is unable to provide for themselves in a way that is sensible, toward the betterment of themselves. A program participant being provided services from CHN is expected to understand the articulate language of the federal government, even though the average program participant is found disabled and in a homeless shelter or on the streets. There are a few rare individuals that work for this organization that deeply care about the program participants in their programs. For the most part, even up through the president of this organization, most of the employees of this organization are "know it all", arrogant, judgmental, and abusive individuals that have no idea the harm they are causing to the individuals that "fall through the cracks".

Just must say Claudette J And Amy H we’re absolutely 5 star specialist when it came to communication, and professionalism. I would just like to say COMM HOUSING was a huge blessing in the process of helping my family. Appreciate you.

This is by far the worst of the worst company that was supposed to be an advocate for the Mshda Cera program yet she (Amy H) chose to deny me for no real reason I lost my job due to COVID-19 .. and if that wasn't bad enough she denied me Rental assistance ... But God put the strength in me to fight this decision and I won... I wonder how many more people got treated this horrible inhuman way ... Shame shame Shame on you Updated:8/22 I was approved again for rental assistance My trust and never ending faith in God will never fell me..

I don't know if this will help at all- just yesterday I found out about, "A place for mom" that assists in finding seniors- whether for you or for a loved one. The people I spoke to there were extremely respectful and great about returning calls etc. Look them up online and try them. Good luck with your search.
