Midway Paris more like Midway Crisis THE WORST SCHOOL TO ATTEND!!!! Listen you're better off saving your money please look for a different school some where else they could care less about your career their main focus is money you don’t learn anything about the state board exam till a few weeks before you graduate Crazy thing is they don’t teach you everything you need to know I didn’t pay YouTube to learn how to finger wave ect… I paid midway Paris so I would expect better definitely need to get their shiii together you walk into that school you feel as if you’re stuck in the 80’s nothing in that place is up to date. They will feed you everything you want to hear just to join on top of that people with disabilities they treat you differently they make you feel so low as a person embarrass you in front of everyone and talk about you as if you don’t exist I witnessed it with my own eyes smh you could never be wrong or right they will respond with a nasty attitude your constantly doing the same hairstyles for months on months I’m sorry but no one wants an Italian top!!

I have graduated Nov 2003. Ever since then I look back and can say all the teachers that were there even though a few left I can really say I learned alot. I have Ms Carmen's voice in my head to take clean sections. I go and visit the school every now and then to keep in touch with them even via phone. It's a good cosmetology school and you learn good from the best. Where I am today in my side business of doing makeup/hair for brides and special occasions, is from the good teachers that I had at the school. All staff is friendly and nice and help you. I kept great contact with the Director Mr. Ferrara who is a very nice person and is willing to help you as well. I look back and say, Im glad I pushed myself to do this trait in my life to do hair and makeup and Im glad I chosen that school

THIS SCHOOL IS TRASH !! A HUGE SCAM.. do not go here, don't even think about going here.. worst decision ever and huge waste of money. They know nothing about hair, treat black people different and the director is the biggest con artist ever.

Writing as a customer who went to a student for a service: The first time I wrote this review, I was asked to remove it. I will not be doing that again. I WAS a processed blonde and I WAS successful at keeping my hair long and healthy despite all the bleaching over the years... I'm a natural level 7 and lift pretty easily. But at the time of this incident (July 2021) I had about 4" of regrowth, so this what most would consider a color correction. A student from this school reached out to me from SalonApprentice.com and said she could do my root touch up. She did a fantastic job at the top of my head. She got my roots match my midshaft and everything was a clean, even blonde. However, I knew something was off when started with my ends and kept them in foils for nearly 3 hours. Most colorists don't even touch my ends, except for a light bleach-bath at the very end. 15 minutes maximum. When I voiced my concern, she said something like “This is very gentle, it won’t hurt your hair.” (I thought: Maybe she was using a mild developer? Using enzyme based bleach? Going ‘low-and-slow?’) But I should have listened to my gut. Skip towards the end or the service; We’re done with the sink and I can finally see my head in the mirror. My hair was 'melting' off my head. (look up "gummy hair damaged by bleach" online and you'll see what I mean). Every time the brush went through my hair, it disintegrated and there was just a white wad of stringy hair-gum in the brush. I probably lost 30% of my hair thickness and lost 3 inches of length. It was a stringy, limp shell of its former self. Even the student was really surprised and confused. She said "Does this always happen to your hair after processing?" No. It does not. Are students not taught about bleach damage? Are they not taught about potentially frying the hair? Did no one tell them to leave blonde ends alone because they are fragile and can break after too much time in the bleach? Why wasn't the teacher supervising? The teacher saw my hair coming out in clumps and no one said a single thing. Unfortunately, as is the standard whenever you model for students, you have to sign a waiver saying that you assume all responsibility and cant be compensated for errors and injury, can't hold the school liable, etc... It was a very traumatizing experience. I got nauseous every time I looked at my hair. I tried every repairing oil I could find. I tried the expensive and time-consuming task of salvaging my hair with bond builders and keratin treatments. I spent hundreds on Olaplex and K18, yet my hair was still so fragile and limp. No matter how many times I trimmed my hair, the breakage continued even up closer to the roots. Since then I attempted one root touch up from a professional, but my hair was so damaged that it couldn’t grab a toner anymore. The first time I left this review, the student contacted me, asked me to remove my review and offered to pay for a repairing product. But there was no coming back from this damage. I couldn’t be white blonde anymore. I couldn’t let my hair stay wet, yet I couldn’t use heat, I couldn’t brush it, I couldn’t style it. It was just constantly stretching and breaking. In December, I finally buzzed my head. What’s the point of having hair if it was too damaged to even handle anymore? This experience actually radicalized me and now I never want to spend another dime on the hair industry again. Good thing I have a nice shaped head for a buzzcut.
