On weekends, the platform nearest the station is inbound, outbound is center platform. On weekdays, it varies, you’d have to check the Metra schedule. The downloadable/pdf schedule is good at showing which platform to use.
It depends upon the train that you take, but the quickest trains typically take 50-60 minutes
This train is not an Amtrak and therefore does not have private rooms. Thanks for asking!
Public transportation is a challenge in both cities (I live near both cities). I recommend calling Uber, Lyft, or a local cab service. It'll be a short trip for you. I hope this helps.😎
