Nice when it’s working. The problem is: it is regularly not working. About 1 out of 5 trips will be nightmare ordeals, pretty consistently. Get a bike.

Great place.

Can you all at least just be where you say you are going to be when you say you are going to be there. I’ve been waiting 45 minutes to an hour for buses and trains and you never show up when the times say you will. Good god. I don’t want to ride anymore if I’m going to either be late or have to leave my house 2+ hours before I need to be at my destination. I could honestly walk faster. And you are asking for more money!!! Do your job first.

It’s simple. Keep CTA clean, safe, and on time. The trains are not. They are slow, dirty, and don’t show up on time. The characters that ride the trains make it feel unsafe. Traffic is horrendous. You know why? Because people prefer to sit in their cars than jump on a bus or train. And I don’t blame them.

I took a limo back to the airport and in these times it is the best option, if a friend or family member is not available. My sister picked me up. Cell phones are a must when traveling. She got on the wrong expressway which took us through the city. Lots of traffic did make her a bit nervous. I enjoyed the sights from the car, just the same. The limo driver was very familiar with the route and when I went back I had plenty of time to get through TSA. I had to go through twice to send my bag through in baggage. My Rx sunscreen was in a bigger bottle and had to go in checked luggage. All turned out well 😌
The CTA is an independent governmental agency created by state legislation. We began operating on October 1, 1947, after acquiring the properties of the Chicago Rapid Transit Company and the Chicago Surface Lines. On October 1, 1952, CTA became the sole operator of Chicago transit when it purchased the Chicago Motor Coach system. More information here. https://www.transitchicago.com/about
