Wow the views here are insane! The lighthouse was a one of a kind experience, and a great place to take pictures. Up inside the lighthouse, you can see the view of the water from above and everything around it. I highly recommend!

My most favorite lighthouse to date. Beautiful scenery. Able to walk the rocks, sit in shaded areas and enjoy the views. But the best part is you can actually go up to the top of the lighthouse. Great museum, super friendly staff. Definitely a must see!

Our first lighthouse of the trip and it didn’t disappoint. It is the lighthouse on the Maine quarter coin. Very beautiful! There is a little museum connected to it. The volunteer is very helpful and eager to educate about the fishing history in the area. Worth the trip!

This is simply a place to visit if you love scenery and lighthouses like I do. It is quite a drive from the inland but if you have some time go and visit it and take many pictures of this beautiful scenic view.

Yes you can enter both the light house tower (run by a volunteer group) and the muesem at the old light house keepers residence as well as the old fog bell building. We loved the view from the tower. As a bonus you can even rent the apartment in the upper floor of the keepers house from the town for short overnight stays
It is a 7 minute drive from the beach. 3.6 miles to be exact. We visited there yesterday! Ate at the Seagull restaurant next door, AMAZING food!
The gate to get into the park should have a phone number.
No. I think it's sunset
Certainly! :) Just took photos for a woman and her dog there last night :)

If you want to see a beautiful lighthouse and Christmas lights visit Nubble Head Lighthouse at Cape Neddick. Start at York and drive along the beach. It's a beautiful drive.
I don't know the answer to your questions although there is a museum in the light house and markers outside indicating landings.
The lighthouse is currently shut for the season
I don't know the name of it right off hand but it's not granite. This is a typical rock on the Maine coast. It may be a type of shale.
There is a gift shop and restaurant and it's 3 dollars to get to the lighthouse. 3 dollars per person. It's the most beautiful place on Earth. I go every year.
The parking lot is large enough, but there's no hook up capability there.
After World War 2, the property surrounding the lighthouse was sold to the town of Bristol. The Coast Guard continued to maintain the tower, and still does to this day.
