Hello! I brought my 2012 VW Golf with 45k miles in for service two weeks ago. I asked Ron's to do a multipoint inspection as I was planning to take the car on a long road trip in the following weeks. I had previously had the car serviced in April 2022 at the local VW dealership. Ron's identified roughly 3k of repairs to do on the car, including repairs to the brakes and the front suspension. The VW dealer had not indicated that there was any problem with these things when I had the car serviced a few months prior. Ron's also recommended I rotate the tires, even though the tires had been rotated three months prior. It made me wonder if they auto-filled their suggested maintenance, without checking whether a repair was actually necessary. This week, my car engine died while on the road trip that I had asked Ron's to inspect the car in anticipation of. None of their suggested repairs related to the functioning of the engine. In retrospect, it's quite frustrating that Ron's seemed to want to charge me for things I might not have needed - including a tire rotation - and simultaneously was unable to detect a problem big enough to cause my engine to die two weeks later. Throughout, it was very pleasant to deal with the staff at Ron's and I enjoyed receiving their service. However, the end result does not make me confident that I could trust a car to function even shortly after bringing it to Ron's.

A/C drain tube was plugged causing the water to flood my front passenger floor. What a relief that it's fixed. Now I can use my A/C without worry!
