I stayed here in July of 2022 and it's new carpet remodeled new knotty pine wall clean nice and cute. The bad reviews I read before I stayed here are not true. Very nice and so reasonable especially compared to other hotels like the one in deerwood country inn last night I paid $200 and this place is much nicer !:) Thank you Ripple River motel

We recently spent one night in one of the triple rooms, the separate room with a bed was nice. The unit was clean and the beds were your typical firm motel room bed. Only complaint would be that our window AC unit was very loud when the compressor was running. We would stay again if in the area.

The room was filthy. The bed smelled of old man aftershave . The carpet was dirty and covered in rock salt. The front desk clerk smelled of marijuana and she appeared to be under the influence . I asked for a refund and she said she credited my card but the charges have not been reversed. This is turning into a 2 month dispute . As I called and emailed the motel again without resolution. She said she remembers me and that her machine was down but that she just redid it and the credit will show up. This was two weeks plus ago and still nothing. This place has really gone downhill.

Saturday 10/19/2019 Got a room at this motel for a 60th Wedding Anniversary & a 80th Birthday Party. This is a 3 1/2 hour / 220 Mile drive one way On appearance it is a very cute little motel. We checked in with another couple around 3PM. We were given room #108, which had new carpet. You could tell the beds were older and the rest of the room could use an update. We left for the party around 4:30 PM, got back to the Ripple River Mote about 9:15 PM. Went to bed about 9:30 PM and made a phone call to our daughter. With the light from my cell phone I happened to catch a bug crawling on my pillow case. When I smashed the bug it was full of blood. It was big enough to see. When we jumped out of the bed and turned the lights on. The bed had at least 50 bugs we could see. I took pictures and called the front desk to let them know the bed was infested. We also told her we would be checking out, as would the other couple (3 1/2 Hour drive back home). The front desk manager refunded our money immediately. She also apologized up and down. She told us to come back in a month and the room would be perfect. We had to throw away all our clothing, suitcases etc. This is my 1st experience with bedbugs. Just disgusting. BEWARE!!
