After a diagnostic test I was told my purge valve was faulty and needed to be replaced despite it being brand new. It was still under warranty so was replaced without charge by a previous mechanic. This didn’t fix the problem, and I was told I would need to pay the same amount again even just to have them look at it or check codes.

Everyone I worked with at Viking was super helpful and friendly! They were very thorough when they checked out the problem and gave me clear information about additional recommendations, without being pushy AT ALL about completing them. They confirmed with me each step of the way that they didn’t work on anything without permission. I will definitely be back!

Clayton at the front desk is very communicative friendly and punctual. Viking did great work and the cost came out cheaper than the quote originally given! Couldn't have asked for better

I moved to Utah less than 12 months ago. One of my concerns was who am I going to use for my auto mechanical needs. I use the same mechanic prior to moving for over 40 years so finding a replacement was concerning. I found Viking automotive and they have more than exceeded my expectations and needs. Clayton is friendly, honest and thorough when explaining the services rendered. I would recommend Viking automotive to anybody looking for a good place to have their vehicle serviced.

Yes we do

Can they run codes on older vehicles and work on older vehicles? Like a 1994 chevy s10 blazer for example?

Zachary, yes we can do it on that vehicle. It is a little different the modern cars. It wont give me nearly as much information or detail but we can get codes for you.

wouldn't the use of a bore scope through the spargplug hole shown you indication of the cylinders hitting the valves? Just answer this question. No poor conversation here.

I'll happily answer any and all questions you have tomorrow over the phone if you'd like. I don't want to create more poor communication through Google map questions. I understand the frustration and want to help.

Why would you take in a vehicle that was know to have jumped timing on an interferance engine and sell the customer $1500 to repair the timing belt without checking for bent valves first??

Thank you for reaching out. The 2.0 liter 8 valve vw engine is not defined as interference but does have potential to be interference. It is not possible to check for bent valves without either replacing the timing belt or removing the cylinder head. I hope that we explained the risks associated with this repair adequately. I would love to have a conversation either in person or over the one tomorrow about this. May I call you at a time convenient for you? Patrick Viking Automotive 8018388898
