My Saturday appointment was at 11:00 and I got out around 11: 45ish... The front desk staff and the doctor were very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. I've never had a bad experience at this Midvale location. In fact, one time I had one box of bad contacts (every pair felt very uncomfortable in my eyes throughout the day) out of my yearly supply. It and another box had a different expiration date from the others. They replaced both boxes for me even though the other one wasn't opened. Excellent customer service and this is why I will always return!

--Rude RUDE RUDE sales associate who argued with me that I couldn't order corrective computer glasses to help me focus on my computer which is farther away than reading material. (I''m 57, she's around 28) She actually said, LOOKING at her computer, "I just wear MY distance glasses, and I can see MY computer fine." (Uhm, yeah, you're YOUNG. And you're not ME.) Finally I just asked her to please go ask the doctor. Which she begrudgingly did. And found out that yes, I was right and she didn't need to be rude to me. She acted like I'd offended HER,even after the doc confirmed computer glasses are a thing! --Half of my order was also screwed up. I ordered two pairs of distance sunglasses--they came back as close-up readers. And now I get to wait another two weeks. --Finally, when I asked for cases they said "we don't have any cases." SERIOUSLY?? I had to go buy my own cases. Please note, the first visit and the doctor exam was great, as was the online booking process, I got in the same day. But the second visit, with this rude associate who looked at me like I was from Mars and speaking Martian pretty much killed it. I don't think I'll be back.

They do take insurance, most major insurances infact. If you know the name of your optical coverage provider, just call and ask if they take it.

I had my exam on a Friday and they were ready by Thursday. It may differ due to volume and the type of glasses. I have been going there for years and it takes mine a week.
You need an appointment. They used to take walk-ins but they changed that in 2020.
