I use this train station on a fairly regular basis when I travel into Philadelphia to visit my Jefferson Jefferson hospital doctors. I now qualify for a reduced fare because I have become a Medicare Card carrier. On my last trip into the city, Shanika, who is one of the customer care agents at the station, assisted me in the process. She was so pleasant and informative and I was absolutely delighted by the services she rendered to me. Not only did she make my freedom card, she made sure I understood how to use it and gave me all the information I needed to replenish the card online. In this world where customer service is oftentimes lacking, it was a pleasure to meet someone who still believes that customer service is important. Well done, Shanika.

Plenty of free parking, with additional paid parking closer to the station. They just completed a major project to install solar panels throughout the parking lots which also provide shade to help keep cars cooler in summer and free of snow in winter. They also improved lighting arouns the station. Could still do a lot to keep it cleaner, but trains generally run on time. Just keep an eye out for special schedules.

No it takes u to camden then u have to take a bus. No septa cant be used nj transit has it's own system.

What station do you get off for Independence Visitors center and how far is the station from the center?

Some will be closed through the summer for repaving. There are several lots still open

There is plenty of parking available and some of it is free even though it has a paygate, the gates have been lifted.

No it doesn't. Other than 8th and Market all other stops are on Locust.

How is the parking here at around 7am? Is it tough to get a spot?

Actually there's two different areas one is a chargeable the other is free, both are very close to the platform area.
