No, you will receive a New York License. Whatever state your learners permit is from is where your license will be issued from. We test you then you go home to your DMV and they will give you your CDL. A few years ago the Feds had a great idea. They wanted to make all the states CDL test the same level of difficulty. After they did that they made it so if you're from New York could come here to Utah and take your test. This has worked great for those States that have a hard time keeping up with the people wanting to take their CDL test. Now instead of your having to wait 3 months, you can test here with a 48 Hr waiting period. If you fail your test you may re-test in another 48 hours.

Did you get any of the ELDT training passed off in the registry?

We teach 8 speed and 10 speed, we have a 13 speed but we don't get into the skirt so much. We have both manuals and automatics.

We don't do anything special for Hazmat, so I'm not sure, but I can look into it if you wish. Ok, this will not let me respond again. It just brings me back to this reply. So I'll just add it here and hopefully you get the notification. With Hazmat, in addition to the training everyone else gets, those wanting Hazmat will need to take extra theory training, covering 13 more topics.

We have to train you a minimum of 1 hour before we can schedule your test. Then we have to schedule your test 48 hours in advance. These are state rules, not Apex rules so we need to abide by them, we have no choice. Have you passed the Pre-trip test and the Backing test? The CDL test consists of 3 parts, not just a road test.

You can do most of the classroom online. The test for the classroom must be done in the classroom. With the full course, you receive a certificate as most big companies require the certificate

Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, Apex does not have any night or weekend classes. We do offer a parttime option. 8AM to Noon or 1-5PM. I am not aware of any other schools in Salt Lake with evening or weekend courses. I may be able to work something out with you. Call me at 801-860-8328

Yes, we can give you a road test however you must take all three test 1. Pre-trip 2. basic skills or backing and then road test. We will train you and make sure you are ready to pass all three before we test you. The Airport Ramada inn right by our school will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Make sure you tell them you are with Apex CDL when you make your reservations and they will give you a huge discount.
