Not really. I always park at the walnut street garage. It's a flat fee for the day and an easy walk to one of the stages and main street
I don't think you can bring your own food but you can go back to your car.

South side acts start around 5 pm North acts start around noon.
There are 2 lots, north and south, that provide a shuttle bus. $5 per adult which includes all day transfer bus rides. All the information can be found on their website.
You can't park at Martin Tower. As far as the best part that depends on what you like both food and entertainment wise.
