Hour plus wait for appointment line, then asked for something that wasn't on the website, wouldn't accept a digital copy, very rude and unhelpful. Could've saved hours of my time my communicating clearly or being the slightest bit helpful. CO DMV please get into 21st century and get email address, handle digital records. Stop wasting everyone's time.

Don't go here without an appointment, or birth certificate/social security card/passport. You don't need proof of identification to vote for the president in Colorado but they sure make it ridiculously hard to get a driver's license if you are from out of state. Literally had to fly back to Pittsburgh to get my birth certificate because they wouldnt accept a photo of it. Turned down at the door for waiting for them to open because I didn't have a appointment. Place is a joke! Colorado is a joke!

Absolute BS at this office. I had to come here THREE times, wait in line for 30+minutes even after I made a required appointment. Brought the verification items needed to be told my 37 year old birth certificate from abroad was not valid because it was taped in two places because it was falling apart!! My birth certificate was good enough to get a passport to travel INTERNATIONALLY but not for a CO DL?! You’ve GOT TO BE FREAKING JOKING!!!!! This office is so small, they pack you in like sardines and with the mask requirements lifted-it’s an unsavory environment let me tell ya. The lady checking me in was so kind, understanding and helpful but the person who helped me at the counter Avis was so rude and unfriendly. Seriously, had the personality of a rattlesnake. She needs better customer service to be helping folks. I stated I wanted to be a donor and she said rudely answer the 3 questions in the blue box (like I knew what she was talking about). I replied where is the blue box? And she slams her finger down. Someone who is roughly in her 50s or 60s acting like an immature high schooler in a professional workplace? What a joke. Definitely do not recommend this DMV. You will waste your time, not get what you came for the first, second, or maybe even third time. This place needs an overhaul on customer service training.

Wow! I was blown away by how efficient and helpful the staff was at the Boulder Driver License Office! I made an online appointment for 12:45 to renew my drivers license. Arrived about 12:35, was promptly and courteously checked in, was given my eye test right away, and directed to a short line to wait my turn. The clerk was courteous and friendly, processed my renewal promptly, and then directed me to the waiting area to have my photo taken for my new license. The wait for my photo was short. The whole renewal process only took about 20 minutes. I am 73-years old so I have renewed my driver's license many times during my life. This was the best experience I have ever had at a DMV office!!!
