Where do I start,!🤔. The building I lived in overall is nasty and have a terrible stench . Their are rat's and roachese everywhere!. The door men /women at the door is not even necessary! because all they pay attention to is their phones. They don't have any idea of who comes through those doors are who leaves. The elevators is always nasty, they use the elevator for garbage bins because trash is always on the ground, to make matters worse your paying for parking spot in a parking lot with a security guard at the gates and still your vehicle gets broken into. I got my vehicle broken into last night so take my foolish advice. DO not! move to this place it is cheap for a reason.

BEWARE: Every bad comment you see on here about the apartment complex is the truth. I didn’t think they were all true until I moved here. Live here at your own risk and be prepared to live amongst lots of roaches, mice everyday, and bedbugs.

The Ivy Hill Apartments refuse to clean up their property. Look at the most recent pictures for examples. Where is code enforcement and the city of Newark?

It's near a park... so that's good there have been incidents in the area years ago but nothing to be worried about now... I love the area
Newark but surrounded by south Orange and maplewood. Also we have a police office just next door. The area is pretty safe. Just very hard to find a parking spot. We have a Walgreens, a supermarket gym....just next door.
They do check credit history. But as long as you can pay your rent with your credit card but it also depends on your income.

They have those rooms but you gotta ask the office people if they have any available to live in 🤷🏾♀️

It's a low income government subsidize apartment so live within the government dictates two rooms no extra see the place you'll love it

The complex does control the heat. I always felt the heat was good and sometimes even too much, like i had to open up the windows sometimes mid-winter. And the heat is off during the summer obviously and there's no air. You can have your own a/c unit for the summer since it does get hot

Well i know they try to clean the common areas more frequently and as much as they can, but as far as crime my friends work at night & walk & take public transportation and there's no problems. I know over 6 families who live here & they love it. Everything is within walking distance: Park 4 the kids, Seton Hall University, Laundromat, Chinese Food, Walgreens Pharmacy, 2 nearby Supermarkets, Gym, Dollar Store, Newark Police Station, South Orange main st & train station, more than 10 NJ bus routes, elementary school next door, etc etc. The only thing is parking, you have to park on the street or if inside my friend pays the monthly fee i think u have 2 get on a list 4 that. Im not sure ask. Hope this helps 👍😉
107x bus takes you to 42 street its better to get the monthly for 199 Dollars.
