Love this place! It's so peaceful and beautiful.The dam is my favorite, just watching all the water flowing over the logs is pretty cool. Blue herons are usually flying around and landing on logs. Natural beauty all around.

Nothing special, just a small park. There is a dam and a canal. Be careful with small kids by the dam

Small, beautiful campground pn the Maumee River. Sites are level and well spaced with shade trees near most sites. Showers available at marina a short drive away. Flush toilets are at a buildimg across a pedestrian bridge and over a levie. A port-a-potty is also provided. Lots of wildlife and hikimg trails.

This is a horrible nasty park. I'll write that because I dont want others to know about this tiny gem near Maumee. It's a small park, maybe 50 sites. Some if the sites are river view, some not. The summer hosts of the park are extremely nice, offering suggestions on what to do in the area. Seriously, don't come here. I want to reserve it!

You can easily walk into town from Mary Jane Thurston along the Canal Trail. It's a peaceful beautiful walk with the river the one side of you and the canal on the other you will see wildlife and enjoy the beauty of nature
Yes, you have to reserve a site on the ohio state park reservation.
The closest cottage/cabin rental I'm aware of in the area is in Oregon, OH at Maumee Bay State Park

Plenty of docks are available first come-first serve for daily, weekly or seasonal rental. Just walk into office/store at the end of the marina.
There is a swimming pool in grand rapids by library. Or you can swim in the lake.
What is the charge for the RV site that has electric and water? Do you have monthly or seasonal prices?
