Wedding rehearsal dinner for 20 people. Worked with Gina McGlone, fabulous event planner! Food…everything…was wonderful! Many thanks!

My wife and i decided to give Oldestone a try for our anniversary dinner. The food was good ... not great. Same with the service. It seemed slow. When the bus boy took away our bread and butter he took our knives and they weren't replaced when our appetizer showed up so we ended up cutting our scallops with our forks. The scallops were good ... not great and I find it hard to believe that "market price" is $12.00 per scallop! My wife and I both ordered the 8oz filet mignon --- medium rare. Her's was properly cooked and mine was a little more done. Also, they weren't hot when they came to the table. The steak was not as tender as I expected. I chalk that up to it being being medium rare when it was cooked. All in all it was an OK dinner but not what I expected for a nearly $ 300 bill for two. Maybe my expectations were too high. I've eaten at great steakhouses before and hoped this would match up.

The physical building inside and out is beautiful. The hostess was friendly. It was packed on a rainy Saturday night …. We were hoping for a lovely experience. No one approached our table for at least 20 minutes. When our server did she was friendly. I asked for a napkin as my place setting was minus one. We ordered drinks. And asked for bread And another 20 minutes went by. Finally we were given water…no bread And finally our drinks came… no napkin. So I asked again… Drinks were delivered, one of the drinks was much less filled than the other. Still, no bread, no napkin. We ordered dinner. Finally got bread which are popovers with a cheese flavor. ( they were ok, not great) The Bisque ( soup) was not very good. It wasn’t like a crab or lobster bisque but more like a Manhattan clam chowder… and then we And waited and waited and waited. Still no napkin. No offer for another order of drinks. After 50 mins our dinners came and the person delivering the food couldn’t figure our which meal went to who( 3 were the exact same) so the meals sat there … The meals were cold and dried out. I asked for salt…no ever got it Oh and I just took a napkin from another table. Anyway, for a pricey and lovely looking restaurant, they definitely need better help and better food.
