It was okay - nice view, decent food, but nothing overly impressive. Service was okay, again, nothing to be impressed about. We went in with two families totaling 7 people and a baby and it took them quite a few moments to stop their conversation at the bar to seat us. Service could be worse, food could be worse, but they need to get rid of the automatic 20% for tip added to the bill.

Great location and beautiful mountain views, however service was exceptionally slow. It wasn't overly busy but we still had to wait 15 minutes before the server brought beverages. Had to go find menus on our own. The Birdie sandwich was missing condiments and was very dry. Server never returned to our table. Gratuity is built into the tab so perhaps servers have little incentive to provide reasonable service.

This place is great! Love the rustic atmosphere and I'm sure many golfers love its location too. Food has been consistently very good, and the wait staff are really nice. Hopefully the Tavern gets more recognition as its just a mile off Colorado Blvd. and not quite so noticeable. If you like the place pass it on to your friends.
