Don't get me wrong place was nice very clean but I feel their are very vague on cell reception out their which is none in the cabins. Only at the pool. When u have young kids it helps to have access to those things, now if u want I nice place to lay while u go out boating this is the perfect place.

Rustic cabin life. It does have heat and air conditioning. Bring your kayak or canoe, boat ramp nearby. Bring hiking boots, hiking poles, sunscreen, bug spray, and camera. It's truly the wilderness. Wonderful, secluded retreat. MILES to civilization. Bring all food, beverages, supplies with you. Need a sharp knife, cutting board, wine glasses. Limited wifi, which is probably a good thing. Bring your books to read. There is a swimming pool. Owners live on site and can help you if you need anything.

We recently stayed at the Lakefront Resort and it was WONDERFUL! Chuck and Angie were so nice to us and repaired the air conditioner promptly and correctly. We got to visit with them and they are just the friendliest people. The Dogwood trees were in bloom so that was a real treat for me. Our Dogwoods in Texas had pretty well bloomed out. The cabins were rustic but clean ... it IS camping after all! I hope we can come back in the fall to see all of the leaves change color. Well done Chuck and Angie!

We enjoyed ourselves. Although lots of pros and cons. It's quite a ways from anything. That's a plus for some maybe not for others. It just takes about 40 minutes to get back to the town and state park. The cabins are pretty small but functional. We stayed with our two small kids comfortably. If they would have been any bigger, it would have felt cramped. Definitely not luxurious but a decent place to stay. My wife was a little out off that they didn't have any drawers or anything to put our clothes. The best thing about it was the pool. My son has some sensory issues so the lakes water is a little too cold for him. It was nice to have the pool right there to use.
