just my opinion
I have served this country for 30 years, during that time, I was critically injured and forced to retire. I moved my family to Kentucky hoping for a better life. I had been seen at The Orthopaedic Institute of Western Kentucky for several of my injuries and they were made WELL aware of ALL of my injuries, as well as a severe heart condition which not only affects my ability to walk, it affects my ability to perform normal daily functions. Due to my heart condition, I had to cancel a couple of appointments and on ONE occasion, when I was really sick, I had to cancel my appointment. Each time I cancelled, I used the texting option they sent to my cellphone . When I was finally well and finally felt up to having my neck examined, I called to schedule a new appointment, only to be told that they will NOT SEE ME ANYMORE, due to the cancellations. At no point was I ever informed that this would happen. At no point did they even inquire why I missed my appointments. Even AFTER I explained why I cancelled and that being sick, I was not only concerned for MY well being, but ALL those around me, they still refused to see me. I have been dealing with doctors for well over 10 years and have NEVER seen behavior so DISTURBING and DISGUSTING! It honestly felt like it was just being done out of SPITE. These doctors need to remember WHY they wanted to become doctors in the first place! Maybe this will make a difference or maybe it won't, but if I can HELP one person and keep them from going through the stress of not getting called back or dealing with this nonsense.....then it was WORTH it! In response to the owner, This is obviously a common practice here As i read the other reviews, Apparently no one was taken serious again I find the fact that people who come for help are treated like flies on a cow and swatted away only to be left feeling alone and helpless, This is truly a disqusting policy that needs to be investigated especially considering the elderly age of most of the patients.

I have tried to contact this clinic for over 1 week now, multiples times. When you call the number listed on their google business account no one answers. I am scheduled for a procedure in a few days and theirs no way to call and cancel, you go to some call waiting queue where you’re number one in line and no one answers but if you hit star to leave a voicemail it hangs up. Somehow I was scheduled for an appointment today that I didn’t even know about. This is confusing and unprofessional, if I don’t show up for my surgery on 10/11/2022 will I be charged any fees? I even had a representative from my insurance company call and try and couldn’t get through on multiple attempts, I wanted to create documentation with the insurance in case I’m billed for anything. Someone called me from this clinic last week but I missed their call and of course when I tried to call back no one answered haha.

Hello Anthony, The answer to your question depends on what the doctor recommends for you. Every patient is different, and as a result, insurance benefits vary. We recommend making an appointment with one of our doctors in the OIWK Total Joint Center (Patel, Jackson, DeWeese). We will be able to better assess your needs. No referral necessary. 270-442-9461. Thank you!
Hello Anthony, The recovery time for a partial knee replacement varies from patient to patient. On average, it's 4-6 weeks depending on what you do for a living. If you perform hard labor for work, it could take 6-12 weeks. You are more than welcome to make an appointment with one of the doctors from our Total Joint Center (Jackson, DeWeese, Patel) for more information.

It's a weekend. If it's emergency call 911
Hello Julie, At this time, we are recommending patients call to make an appointment. (270) 442-9461 We would hate for you to walk in with an urgent care and have to wait until a provider has an opening which could be a little while. Rest assured, we are working on a plan to best serve our Urgent Care/Walk In patients. Thank you for asking.
Hello! It all depends on which clinic you are needing to reach. Feel free to call (270) 442-9461 and let us know where you would like to send a fax.

Not sure you can Google it
The front desk has an answering system, so id leave a message there including your docs name, your name and DOB. I've called on the weekend before and have been connected to an on-call operator. They cant answer any specific questions, but they may be able to arrange/cancel appts or at least leave a msg for someome who can.
They're within 10-14 business days or less typically and as for nueropathy, they added nortriptyline to my gabapentin and that helped the pain! I like them!
We actually got in pretty quick but was referred by Dr. Stringe.
What if it's a weekend and your sick
You will only need a referral if your insurance requires it.
Yes they herd through like cattle, but all pain management ctrs do.
