Old campground with strange layout (2 sites in what should be just one site.) Has rv dump, toilets and limited water. But great views!

This site gets 5 stars for location and views, but only three stars for the facilities. The views are spectacular. Firehole Canyon is a hidden gem and we were totally blown away by the beauty all around us. The sunrise and sunset were amazing. The camp facilities are tired. There were hot showers but the lights in the bathrooms were broken so we had to take our showers before nightfall. Several other items were broken or worn. The sites are set up in pairs so if you did end up with someone next to you you would literally be only a few feet away. Fortunately the camp was nearly empty when we were there so that wasn't an issue. The host (Chuck) was really friendly. Overall a very good experience.

Couldn't be better. Very helpful and friendliest host we have ever experienced, named Chuck. Grated firepits, hot showers, not crowded, beautiful desert views and Green River swimming and boating. Hot, and no shade in the afternoon in July, but usually a breeze.. Nights and mornings are cool...we will be back!

Campground not open last week of September, but able to openly camp on beach. Great views! However there was blue algae and we couldn't swim or let our dogs play. We had to move to higher ground which was fine except for the high winds. I would recommend this site in early summer only. Notice of blue algae on the website would have been nice ahead of time since some family drove quite a ways to meet up...

No, but helpful. They have several sites that are first come and you can be in that site for up to 14 days
yes. leash laws are encouraged but rarely followed at the beach. we had our dogs at the campground for 4 days and they dont wander to far so we rarely leashed them
Public, and the day fee wasn't too bad. Make sure to have some five dollar bills!
$20 single site, $40 double site https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/ashley/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=72191&actid=29
I think 90% of the road was, but not into the campground.
There were when we stayed there at the end of May.
Don't know about tent, most site are setup for trailers, but it is very windy.
