Stopped by on the way back home so out visit was short. Very interesting place and would make beautiful sunset pictures! Next time we’ll visit there just at dusk for the photo op.

Definitely worth catching the sunset on Pawley's Island here! Beautiful views! Park across the street at high tide though or your car will get surrounded by water!

No I'm sorry I don't know
Not sure about parking areas, I visited during the week. Looks like a few spots in front.
I dont know. The chapel was closed the day we visited. It is a charming little chaple in a very cozy coastal village that anyone would love to visit. I plan to go again and you should visit also!
Services are only in the summer months. And good news that the hurricane did not effect the chapel at this time!
No, this is a non-denominational chapel where during the summer months visiting ministers hold a service on Sundays. In the off season it may be rented for weddings, etc.
You need to contact Pawleys Island Realty. They manage the calendar for the chapel.
PERCIVAL PAWLEY was the first European settler to develop plantations on the Waccamaw (River) Neck. He received land grants in 1711 of a type that became the norm on the Waccamaw Neck: the land ran from the river to the sea. It’s not certain if Percival had an island getaway. But historians say that the island itself was named for Percival’s sons George, Anthony and Percival Jr. Over the years, the surrounding mainland region also came to have the name Pawleys Island. Because of the loss of property records during the Civil War, it’s not certain if any of the Pawleys had a house on the island, but tradition says the historic Pawley House on the island was owned by a family member.
PAWLEYS ISLAND HOUSE OF WORSHIP PAWLEYS ISLAND HOUSE OF WORSHIP (Best known as The Chapel to residents and vacationers at Pawleys Island) During the summer months, visiting ministers hold interdenominational services each Sunday at 10:00am. Outstanding vocalists and musicians provide special music each Sunday. The Chapel stands on marshland donated by Dr. and Mrs. J.H. Porter. Originally built in Georgetown, the building was home to the Pentecostal Holiness Church. The building was dismantled and rebuilt on the Island lot in 1946. The Chapel had extensive renovations in 2005, including new siding, roof, windows, seating, as well as central heat and air conditioning. Many summer residents and locals have generously supported the Chapel through the years. The Chapel survived three major hurricanes- Hazel, Hugo and most recently Matthew. There was severe damage after Hugo; however, contributions from hundreds of people and the Pawleys Island Rotary have helped finance the restoration
