Great spot to put in and take out kayaks and canoes. Well maintained.

A nice quiet launch for canoes and kayaking, varying states of the river itself notwithstanding. Everyone I've run into has been very nice. There's plenty of room for cars, when it's busy people just park in the grass.

Disgusting mucky sand with decaying vegetation within it.

Questions & Answers

If we put a kayak in here whats the best take out spot? How far of a paddle is Cape fear river trail park? Is there parking at both places. Thanks!

Cape Fear River Park in Erwin, NC. Plenty of parking at both locations, it is a 3.5 slow paddle. Can take out at this park if you put in at Cape Fear Shriner County Park, that would make it around a 1 to 1.5 hr paddle

Can you put in here and test jet skis out - like putting in a boat ?

Ok for a jet ski or John boat, not for a boat of significant size. Lots of trees and logs in the water and water is really shallow with rocks in places. If just for a short ride to test I would say it would be ok.
