Very rude staff. The lady at the first counter who was yelling out ticket numbers is extremely rude. Are these people being forced to work there? Or is it in the job description to be rude to members of the public? Because I really don’t understand. GIVE UP YOUR JOB AND LEAVE if you can’t speak to people with common decency!! They treat you like you are bothering them at this location, they have that “I don’t need you, you need me” attitude. I arrived at 8.30 am, there were 7 people in-front of me and I was finally seen at 10am. I needed information that I could of gotten over the phone, but this location does not answer their phones or call you back, so I had to spend my morning off work at this miserable place.

This is the worse social security office to call. You can be waiting for 25 to 30 minutes just for someone, only to have the phone hang up. This is ridiculous that they don't have other ways to call this local office. I don't care what day or time, it's never a better time to call them because you will be waiting only to get disconnected

The black women in that office are very unpleasant. They are very dry and it seems like they hate their life and their job. The men who work in this facility down to the security are much more pleasant. Thank you fellas. No thank you black ladies

The worst experience ever with a governmental agency. Worth moving out of this jurisdiction to avoid dealing with them. Multiple attempts, online and in person to get Plan B put in place. What took another SS location 2 minutes to process (literally) on the phone, this location did not manage to process in 2 months!! Truly pathetic. Avoid at all costs, if you can.

WHAT IS THE LOCAL OFFICE NUMBER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN PERSON?
Depends on the year you were born. Go to SSA.GOV to find your full retirement age, once you reach your full retirement age, then wages are not an issue.
You can apply online! SSA.GOV
I did it on the ssa.gov website and it took 6 business days to get to me and it was free.
There are a number of circumstances that could cause this. Normally, when it happens from their end, they will send you a notice, with the reason. From time to time, they may over pay, and withhold that amount from the next check. It could also be based on the amount you're making. I highly recommend that you call your local office, and speak to a representative about this.
If it's for Medicare, I don't think you will get it back. It's being used to pay for medical expenses. Have you used your Medicare a lot lately, or is it just a premium type of payment? If you are really concerned, I would call the local office and ask to talk to someone about other options.
No, ssa is open m-f closing at noon on Wednesday
Not sure, but depending on the local office its worth a trip just to drop it off. I did it twice in the last month and it only took 30 minutes from arrival until leaving. At least you know it gets to the right person and entered into the system properly. They processed and finalized some papers right there and than that usually can take 60 days or longer.
Go and check with your local Social Security Office. The person you married is the one who will receive your benefits if you have adult children....ijs
Yes can you do it online your social office
Typically, your card is your proof of SSN.
Yes you can as long as the marriage last at least 10 yrs.
Most likely on ssa.gov you can get all sorts of documentation thru your account on there
Yes, you have to stand outside and wait to be called in due to COVID protocols.
Any age
Best bet is to call social security and order over the phone & dont forget to get the workers name who waited on you!
I don't have any good news for you. My daughter's got stopped over a year ago now. It's been nothing but hoops and red tape ever since. Unfortunately, I don't think that anyone *actually* works in the SSA since they could start blaming COVID.
I have not, you should check with Social Security. You should also inquire about Medicare. I think you are required to apply for it at 65.
Yes that's going to happen I stayed on hold I'm going to say about an hour or two before somebody actually came to the phone to question or ask what it was that I needed so yeah right now with this pandemic is kind of hard
unfortunately it is not, all SSA's are still only open to appointment.
They only make appointments over the phone for dire situations. There's no way to do it online.
Not at this time.
Have to do it online the office is closed to the public
No
If your denied, you can appeal. I'm not sure how many times you can appeal.
You can bring it but it have to be on vibrate
No cost.
I don't know you would have to call
If this concerning MMC, then send to administration.
You would need to contact the Department of Social Services in your city.
Unfortunately no
No that's when you will receive your payments
Yes, you can
No. It is not life insurance. If you are married or have minor children, they may be entitled to benefits.
Yes
Go to your local Social Security office and let them know you want to change your payee info and the reason why.
can you set up a appointment so i can get my social security replacement
Wait times vary and can depend on what time you get there and what you're there for. People line up outside before the office opens most of the time.
Your local Social Security Office can answer that question for you.
Either call the 800 number or go to the office in the state you're moving to
Yes. They close at noon on Wednesdays
How do I apply for widows pension
Call 1-800-772-1213
There is no charge for an updated card
It depends on the circumstances. You won't be in there long just to ask a question.
I would suggest the computer or going in person.
No
Yes
Free I believe. But you have to show up at your local SS office. It can't be ordered online or by phone. Only in person.
No. You are receiving the max for SSI. It does not go up, only yearly for the cost of living adjustment.
I believe you can make an appointment to get help. Either way, I would call them and ask them!
Never give information on the phone, never say the word yes on the phone. If you believe there is fraud going on then go to S.S. in person. Be suspect of all phone calls, unless it's you doing the calling.
They are closed for all federal holidays.
On the website, there are guidelines for Disability.
Have they updated their address with Social Security, and the US Post Office?
