I was stranded with my family at the nearby campground. I'm limited in who can help me and work on my 1 ton truck. I thought my motor was gone, for sure. Being a salvage company, they easily could have told me so. They found a simple wire on the starter and had it backup and running the next day. And just to top it all off, i was stuck at the campground so THEY DELIVERED IT back to me! I've posted a handful of reviews. These guys are worth my time and hard earned money.

We are business owners. On a Saturday afternoon my step-son got a flat tire on our work truck heading up to Marshfield to pick up equipment. The spare tire had already been used for a recent incident with another flat. By the time we arrived, it was after hours and all shops were closed. Several people we called suggested we call Shaw's, as they have 24 hour towing. I also hear their commercials on 88.5, my usual radio station, daily. We asked if we could purchase a tire and rim and come get it, they had absolutely no interest in helping us, and urged us to seek help closer to Necedah. It took 4 hours of the boys being stranded on the side of the road before we were able to locate a private individual/ good samaritan to help us. Praise God for good hearted people. I'm sure Shaw's auto would have come to tow us, for a hefty price. As a business owner, customer relationships and first impressions are what make or break a business. We will never call Shaw's Auto for anything ever again.

My wife and I have known everyone that works here for many years and have never had an issue with anyone in all those years. However, we had an unbelievably unprofessional experience with them today. After the new title arrived in the mail for our daughter's first car we bought from them, it showed as "salvage/flood-damaged" and neither of these categories were disclosed at time of sale. When I called to inform them of what we received, I was very rudely told to "just bring the car back!", that I "had a bad attitude", and was then hung up upon. I had asked one, single, solitary question....and while my question was no doubt inconvenient, I was in no way rude. When I called back, the owner, Jerry, was "unavailable", but I confirmed with the woman that answered the phone that I would, indeed, be returning the car the following day. Upon arriving with the car, Jason, (the only professional one,) admitted the mistake, sincerely apologized, and shook my hand at the end of the refund. Before we got to that point though, the rest of the crew was rediculouy rude, and (unprofessional isn't accurate), they were utterly childish. When they tried to make light of the "flood damage" by explaining that the damage occured in 2001, so "it was really irrelevent", my wife and I attempted to explain why it wasn't irrelevant due to what the car was doing, the cruise didn't work, multiple dash lights that were going off, radio problems, etc, and we were quickly shouted down, treated as if we were making a scene, and Mike (the most surprisingly inappropriate) actually stated that I "needed to shut-up"...at this point I was guilty of getting pissed. Noone except Jason seemed to notice our Daughter crying (due to having to loose her first car, she spent days cleaning the interior of this thing, had spent $50 on new wipers and $35 to fill the tank, and this exchange was certainly not helping). At this point I chose to refuse to respond to anyone except Jason. I saw that Jerry pulled in about half way through this rediculous display, but never came to the office. He hid in the shop, (we overheard he and his sister mocking us back there while Jason was writing the check). In the end, I would not recommend anyone to do another dollar's worth of business with them. Jason, (if you read this) I thank you for your calm and professionalism throughout this vehicle return. My wife and I will be covering "the loss" so my daughter gets every penny back that she wasted, but this was a horrible first-car buying experience for her.
