I lived at colony village for two years and I have no complaints. Every time there was an issue it was addressed. The community involvement is something to highlight for those individuals with families looking for places to stay. The front office team always makes you feel like a priority. I would recommend Colony Village for anyone in New Bern looking.

We moved in about two months ago, and we love it here. Its quiet. The people around us are extraordinarily nice and that includes the staff. Ashley and Ashlyn are quick to respond. They’re kind and hilarious, as well. Mark and Charlie are part of the maintenance crew. They are always smiling, waving and super helpful. This place is not overly glitzy or glamorous. It’s older, full of character and just plain nice. That’s just how we like it.

I've lived here for 3 years. New management took over about 8 months ago and are very friendly, outgoing and responsive. Extremely pet and kid friendly. The complex is aged and they are steadily working on improvements even though they have been somewhat hindered , like the rest of the world, due to supply chain and labor force issues, they have made impressive headway on renovations. They have lots of social events which are fun!

If you have lost your keys, you may have new keys made at our office during business hours for a small fee.
If you are locked out during business hours, you can come to the office to be let back in your apartment or garage. Please do not call emergency maintenance. You must call a locksmith if you are locked out after normal business hours.
Colony has community BBQ area; grills are not allowed on balconies/patios.
Yes, there are cable companies that service this area. You can ask our leasing office for more deals from our local cable/internet representative!
We require a 60-day written notice, which you are responsible for, prior to move-out. If you need to move-out at the end of your lease term, please remember to come in 60 days prior to the lease expiring to provide your written notice.
Yes, if someone is temporarily staying with you, please let the office know so we can accommodate for parking. If someone is permanently moving in they will need to fill out an application to be added to your lease agreement.
You may call the office, send an e-mail, or leave a message with the answering service. You may also submit work orders online if you are enrolled in our online services.

Yes, service members can break their lease without penalty in certain circumstances through the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Please contact the property manager as soon as possible in this situation. You will need to provide written notice and a copy of your military orders.
Yes, if the lease buy-out fee has been paid. A 60-day notice is required before vacating your apartment, and the lease buy-out fee will very depending on the size of the apartment. Please make sure that you reference your signed lease agreement and confirm policies with your Property Manager as there could be unique circumstances.
Up to 2 pets, cats or dogs, are allowed. There is a nonrefundable pet fee of $250 per pet. Monthly pet rent is $25 per pet. Our full pet policy can be viewed HERE.
You can pay rent by setting up your online account on our website. This allows you to use a bank account (no fee) or credit card (with fee) to make payments.
Rent is always due on the first; however, if you do not pay all rent on or before the 5th day of the month, you’ll pay a late charge of 5% of the rental payment or $15.00, whichever is greater.
