I had an emergency appendectomy and Dr. Polk was on call. We met him for 3 minutes where mostly he told my wife and I that we pulled him off his daily ride. The surgery was ok, and I never saw the man again. Discharged by his staff without any follow up. 1 week later, one of the incisions has started bleeding and I tried to reach his office, where a series of poor incidents followed. First, his nurse has a voicemail that says to leave a message but she would NOT be checking it. Had to try several other lines at his place of business for someone to finally get me in touch with the back up nurse. She basically said, put more gauze on. I tried again after the 3rd day of continuous bleeding, and once again, took several calls, messages and finally got back to the backup nurse. She then asked me if I needed to go to the emergency room. I felt that should be what my surgeon or his staff should tell me, but what do I know other than I am still bleeding 10 days after surgery. After yelling, they agreed to let me see someone at this practice. I don't actually want to go, but my primary care and walk in clinics will not help since they all say see the surgeon. My only other alternative is to go back to the emergency room. This place is clown show seemingly designed to separate humans from their organs and money. No care, no follow through and poor customer service. I would not recommend to my enemies to see anyone at this practice. Also this rating system forces me to have at least a star, but that is just the software, they don't deserve even that much.

I broke both heels whilst free climbing. The check in process was fine. I was told that only my right heel was broken. I was given a temporary cast for my right foot and a set of crutches. I asked several times for food as I was there for several hours and was very hungry. Nurses told me food would come. No food ever came. The following morning, I attempted to get up with my crutches and left foot and fell flat on my face. Had to call my ex-wife (unpleasant experience) to pick me up and bring me to a real hospital (Vanderbilt). Using regular x-rays. They found that both of my heels were broken and that the temporary cast had cut off the circulation to my right foot. A few months later I was sent a bill of just over $1000.00. I spoke with centennials financial advisors. I was told that everything was done correctly and I still had to pay for my poor medical treatment. I refused as this is (or should be) considered malpractice. Now that bill is in collections and I am not sure where to go from here other than to hire a lawyer. If you need medical help, go to another hospital. They perform treatment poorly at best and refuse even acknowledge their mistakes.
