They are friendly and helpful. It's clear that they take very good care of the animals and have their best interests in mind when it comes to adoption!

My grand daughter bought two kittens from cheyboygan humane society... With in 2 weeks of owning them... One of them had worms coming out it's butt. Took to vet cost her $350. Now 3 weeks later... They have constant diarrhea... Now have feline covid.. this time costing her $450. Plus a cancer test. She paid $60 for each one... Being told they were wormed and vetted. And within 2 weeks of having them worms so bad. A 18 year old .. full time college full time work..first apartment... and has spent over a $1000 on vet bills in 3 weeks. Buyer beware as they lie to the services they have provided to their animals. Then have you sign a paper you are responsible. These people are trash

Dawn is amazing! She's really good with the animals in the shelter and helped me adopt the perfect addition to our family. Blue (the brown dog) came from this shelter and she is the sweetest most loving dog I've ever seen. Adopt don't shop! And donate when you can, please!!!

They do so much for the community and all the animals, I adopted my cat from here and I love her to death, some days she saves me. 💜

That's not a question
I went recently and all I saw were pit mixes and a coonhound. There was a smaller pit bull. Her name is Athena. She's not super tiny but she's the tiniest one I saw
You won't easily find any of those breeds at a shelter. In bigger cities you have a higher chance of finding those breeds but not in a small town like this. I suggest if you want one of those kinds of dogs, look for local breeders. Huskies are around $500-$1,000. I'm not sure about the others but I bet they are close to that price. And you will for sure not be getting them for free. I hope this helps
Pick up
I am not sure
Check the website under adoptions-dog.
Yes they do.
Yes its a no kill shelter
It's the Cheboygan County Humane Society
It depends on the weight and if you want the dog burn with other dogs or by itself.
Call the humane society
You can call them and see if they have vouchers available. When we got ours, we paid only $10 out of pocket for our dog.
It's hard to say. Most animals that come here are strays that owners never come back to pick up. I've seen two collie mixes come through in like two years. You can call the shelter though and ask to be notified when one comes in. Even though they say they are a first come first serve shelter.
