Are you a vet with questions on benefits? Walk in on Wednesdays and you will be supported to the best level possible. Just do it.

The men and women members of the Myrtle Beach Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans are incredible! At the local chapter level, the DAV is staffed by volunteers who serve their community by connecting veterans with the many services that exist for their benefit. They also provide assistance to spouses of veterans by assessing eligibility for one-time death benefits, as well as for recurring (ongoing) benefits. For veterans who are just starting the process of applying for service-connected disability benefits, you have a long and challenging journey ahead. But you couldn't ask for a better, more dedicated team of advocates! These volunteers will explain the process, assist you with writing your claims, help you make sense of things when they make no sense, and so on. If the process seems to get stuck in neutral, they likely will be able to tell you who to call or what to do to get things moving again. It is THESE dedicated individuals who will fight WITH you to overcome the bureaucracy. Just as importantly, they will provide friendship and emotional support when you need them the most.

Yes the DAV is behind the golf superstore on hwy 17 they are open on Wednesday 9 to 12 they are great I've been fighting for my disabilities claim for 8 years now and I went to these guys and they got me a 70% rating in about a month. Just go up there on Wednesday with your proof of the disability (shrink visits, medications, etc.) And they should be able to help you. These guys are awesome!
