The Trace itself is awesome. Beautiful and well maintained. I could have done without the maintenance guy running up in us on his pick-up and then spraying weed killer into the wind and it blew back in me and my nephew.

This is a nice quiet trail. We rode the whole stretch with our 8 year old girl and 11 year old boy. We ate lunch at a little convenience store in Basswood. I think there are several other good options there. There are also some food options in Sumrall. There are plenty of benches and shelters along the trail. There didn't seem to be any extra restrooms though and the ones at the trailhead were closed so just be prepared for that. Over all it was an excellent day for us. We will go back if we get a chance.

Reasonably nice facility at the trail end/beginning to park and socialize as you ready your bike for a ride on the forty plus paved miles of the Long Leaf Trace. Convenience stores a few blocks away with clean restrooms, food and other items.
