Not very helpful at all they want me to get rid of my dog, my dog has protected me very well and she is all I have. I thought they were supposed to help me, not make me get rid of the one thing that actually makes me want to go another day because she needs me as much as I need her. So I can't get help because of my dog . Thanks for nothing but making my life harder.

McGarvins dream of hope!!
A Newsome
This is a place you can go if you're homeless to try and see if they will assist you if you need any kind of assistance you have to get there before 7:00 a.m. that's when they open the gate and you have to get a number you could be there for hours and you may not even get a bed so you have to show up every day hoping to get a bed and if you looking for a permanent housing of course you have to go through hoops with anything they offer

They just assistance to everyone for all kinds of things. Never left a place feeling happier

Yes it's called MAPS program.
I suggest getting there early the parking lot is pretty small
You can call the contact office for details but new policy is you need to make appointment to be talked to
Minors need an adult with them. There is an orientation new volunteer leaders need to have. I bring in a youth group not to scare them but for them to help. I see families along with schools, church groups etc .. you need to contact the volunteer coordinator for information. It is a very worthy organization.
Yes they will feed you breakfast, lunch ,dinner, sometimes venders give free meals and clothing
Who do we call to find out ?
Shoes pants and shirt would seem to be the norm
7am to get signed up to be called in office to meet with a Navigator. I would show up at 6:50AM. to get in line to sign-in. Or you will be waiting all day
Yes, you need to go to map point which is there on the same property. Once there you will talk to a navigator whom helps you find places with you. As long as you keep with your appointments and documents needed to help you.
Great place to volunteer
I'm not sure but I'm sure they can probably direct you to a shelter stay blessed and take care🙋
Fill out the application, provide the necessary documentation, and if you haven't yet, apply for food stamps and local cash aid. Congratulations! Good luck & God bless.

Not that I know of. If you are in grade or high school, the law says you have to go to school. You can try a continuation school like Fresno EOC at 2336 Calaveras, Pershing Continuation at 855 W. Nielsen, or Keppler Neighborhood at 1462 Broadway. There are more, but these are some in Downtown Fresno. Good luck and don't give up, education is key to getting off the streets. God bless.
Due to the HIPPA , NO one will give you that information
Sometimes they do. Depending on whether anyone donated some.
Yes but before 2 pm on weekends till 5 on weekdays
I’m from Memphis but I’m heading to Fresno California at the end of the month but I will be homeless looking for a change of scenery so I can get back on my feet do the mission help out of town people find housing I’m also a amputee so what should I do any suggestions
Go to Poverello House, near ventura and F streets. There are several different programs that can help you, the MAPS building there can help you find which programs you may quality for.
Call 498-6988 and ask its only on certain days
No it's not a shelter, a program for men and they feed the homeless. . A family may eat meals there and in fact have priority ,entering first, but cannot sleep there. Fresno rescue mission has a place for families to sleep. Located on g street around the corner,
I think any where but there would put them to better use honestly
I think you need to have a training first, i tried to volunteer like that and they told me i had to go through some kind of training
Yes, you may. Our address is 412 F St, Fresno, CA 93706. We have an easy donation lane on G St. Thank you.

you can donate clothes by either driving up an talking to the security or by calling in and setting up an appointment
At the doors of the building there is a calendar that has the indormation of the dentist and the clinic as well. There tells you the dates and orario.
Show up outside the gate at 6-6:30 am and ask for a ticket from the security personnel. They should have the rest info for you.
