Had knee surgery in July last year. Ended up with staph infection that cost me 3000 out of pocket expense that insurance did not cover Surgery preformed by Doctor Berend. I would not recommend him to anyone He has no after care. I never saw him after the surgery. He was aware what I went through but evidently did not care

Had a bad experience here, I went in for hip surgery & I came out with 2 black eyes. Dr. said he'd check into it, never heard why I had black eyes. When I went to post op appt., I saw assistant, never saw or heard from dr. Make sure there is a nurse in front of you when you get your spinal.

I had knee replacement surgery here on January 4th, 2022. I do not wish what happened to me on anyone. I could not walk or stand on my on. I was to be transported by a med. unit which was arranged by Mount Carmel NA Surgical to be taken to a rehabilitation facility at 1:00pm. Well come 7:00pm (shift changing time) still no transportation So the nurse leaving passed me on to the next shift with the instructions to send me to the rehabilitation facility in an Uber. She told them that it was a "wheelchair Uber". NO SUCH THING. Uber doesn't have any medical capability. Remember now that I was very ill, couldn't walk or stand. I was in two surgical gowns in 20 degree weather. They released me anyway. Luckily my daughter arrived and managed to get me to the rehabilitation facility. I don't know why they chose to treat me this way, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else again.
