Established full-service nursery/garden center since 1940 in Central Ohio. Great place to buy wild bird seed if you're into feeding our fine feathered friends. Update --> Nothing's really changed. Consistency is a good thing.

It's sad that I have to say this because I have shopped Oakland Nursery for as long as I can remember at least the last 20 years never went anywhere else for my plants, trees, bushes, I spend a ton of money every year. Gardening is my happy place. But today I parked on the side walked up to an employee on the side of the building who was pretending to water flowers but she was actually texting on her phone she saw me approaching her she turned completely around with her back facing me and continued texting I went on with my shopping couldn't find what I was looking for sorry went inside to the service desk stood there for about 10 minutes while the girl behind the service counter was chatting with two other employees so after 10 minutes I said could you help me she said what do you want with a very bad attitude I said I'm sorry are you busy, and she said again with an attitude what do you want I asked to speak to a manager she said she was the manager and continued to be rude I asked another lady there that spoke English she had the same attitude I wound up walking out of the store and I will never walk back in I wonder how many people have to stop shopping in your store before you realize you have bad customer service most of the people working there don't speak English don't know about the flowers and don't want to help you I was not the only customer that experienced this today there were two women in the parking lot talking about the same thing I will not ever walk back into an Oakland Nursery store there are plenty of places to spend my money.

Yes I've seen them they're called the Sombrero variety.
You need to get on the phone and wait while they go back and look. They don't monitor this. They probably still have arborvitae in stock, not sure on the species you want.
I have seen many dogs with their owners. Always on a leash
They had about everything out. Didn't see fennel though I wasn'tlooking. They did have dill, saw that.
9am to 6pm!
Yes! It is veggie time at Oakland We order pepper plants from many producers and has a great selection while it lasts.
Yes. Speaking as a customer and not as an employee.
Last time I checked, there was.
Affirmative!
I do not know. Just call and ask them.
I didn't see any when I was there
We will be open from 9 am to 6 pm on Memorial day
I believe I saw bamboo the last time I was there but be careful that stuff is extremely invasive. Give them a call
Their inventory changes frequently. It is best to call. I put in an order for specialized plants and they called me less than a week later and said they were ready for pick up.
I saw Bayberry shrubs there but quite frankly they smell like cat urine! Why don't you consider a row of burning bush, Green in the summer and a brilliant red in the autumn the song. You would need 10 to create a screen. Don't let them get too leggy trim on back. They had those there too, they love Ohio.
yes, we have peaches, nectarines and plums in dwarf root stock.
Yes, there are a number of dogwood varieties that bloom in white or pink colors. right now we have a good selection.
Oakland sells orchid potting soils by Pro-Mix, Espoma, and others.
No, cut peonies from a florist would be your best bet
We do carry cherry trees, but cherry trees blossom in the early spring. There are several varieties of cherry trees, and our stock can change from day to day, so please call (we're open till 9 during our summer hours) or come in to find out how many what varieties we would currently have in stock. I'm a cashier that has the day off and happened to see this, but we don't monitor our Google maps info in our daily operations, so calling is a much more effective and efficient way to ask a question without coming to visit the store.
Sorry, we won't be getting sod in anymore until the spring. It's a little late in the season for sod to take root and survive. Why didn't you just call the store? (I'm a cashier)
