This place is ok for service but the credit department to open a account is not good for small owner operators. I was denied a credit account and I have a personal credit score in the mid 700’s and a few small business accounts around the city so I don’t understand the problem. Also the other main problem is that they are closed on Saturdays. Also, they don’t have a real 24/7 truck repair service from my past experience.

Terrible charge me diagnostics but didn’t give one told me I need to take my truck to the dealer didn’t provide my driver with any paperwork and it took 4days of out service to accomplish nothing

Came in for a check engine light. After 3 days waiting for a software update to the mechanics computer Diagnostic system, it confirmed that it was a EGR sensor. Weirs said, "the sensor is not in stock at Fyda....cost $125. 3 weeks. The replacement was never performed by Weirs. I replaced it the day I picked up my truck. The part was in stock....is always in stock price $25.00. Took about 10 minutes. I also requested a DOT. This required a new 5th wheel (no problem) front brakes again (no problem. In fact solved a vibration problem). Loose yoke at transmission and new U-joints. (no problem). There were other repairs both missed and completed. (no problem). I was upset that they lied about the sensor but that's a small issue. My biggest complaint is that they treated me like a criminal when it came to paying my bill. My total was over $8,000 and they refused to take a credit card. I lost an additional day of work in order to aquire a cashiers check. I was a customer of Bob Lambert (previous owner) for over twenty years. Was never treated like a criminal. In fact was praised for being one of his better customers. Always paid, never complained. The biggest loss to the trucking service industry is the loss of old school mechanics like Bob. He is a true trouble shooter. Modern mechanics follow flow charts and basically rack up a lot of hours diagnosing from inexperience. Weirs seems to be busy. But it is night and day from the old days. I was hoping the same relationship would continue with the new owners. Unfortunately Weirs seems to have a corporate atmosphere like a mega church where having the chance to shake the preacher's hand is near impossible. I'm still looking for a mechanic that I can trust, but more importantly one that trusts me.

Had a alternator in hand and couldn't find anyone within within this whole city to do the job..Called Wiers due to the good reviews, spoke to Tommy and he said sure, bring it in..Had the job done in about 1/2 hour and charged me the going rate..That's all a guy could ask for ! Thanks for helping me out ..
