I ordered a copy of my marriage license 3 months ago on the website. They sent me someone else's. I've been calling and leaving messages to try and get my actual license no one ever answers. I leave messages, no one returns my call. I still have not received what I paid for.

I called the Marriage department this week and they said you CANNOT get a copy of the Marriage Certificate, but you can get a copy of the Marriage Abstract. I don't know if this is just Franklin County, because the Social Security Administration told me they must have a copy of the Marriage Certificate and the Marriage Abstract is NOT acceptable. So, what am I supposed to do now??? I mean Social Security would not demand it if a copy cannot be obtained, would they? PLEASE HELP!!
Explain to them
Your marriage license is what the state gives you to allow you to get married. You want your marriage certified abstract that proves that you were married legally in the state.
Yes it is
Not a dumb question but no they are not open on Sunday's
You can either go to the courthouse in person or go to the website. The cost is $2.
You should just need to take your ID with you into the Courthouse in the city where you live. Franklin county, on the 23rd floor, of the courthouse should have it on file and charge $2 per copy
We did walk in and only took 5 mins
Go to the Clerk of Courts website, choose "Public Records" from the menu. There's search and/or request options there.
There is public parking at the meters located south of the Court House is you arrive early enough. If you happen to arrive later and it's full, Northwest of the Courthouse is an outdoor parking lot costing roughly $5. There is a parking garage located northest about one block that has a parking garage. If that's full there's is parking meters located up and down High st and surrounding streets allowing for a few hours.
I'm not sure about getting it online but the 4th floor at the courthouse in person might be your best bet or vital statistics somewhere on long st behind the Columbus State Bookstore
Contact the clerk of courts in the county where you got it.
They will mail it if you do it online. They should have given you a sheet of instructions when they gave you your certificate and licence.
If you have been previously married make sure that you bring your divorce decree s
No it has to be filed with the state
In order to be a minister you have to start by taking your paperwork from your ministry to the Secretary of state and pay the $10. After that the state will send them a certificate, that's the permission from the state saying it'll be legal. I hope that helps 😊 If you need an ordained minister feel free to send me a message, I like to make the ceremony about the couple
You can "start" the process online and once you and your partner arrive without any complications, you will be done in 10 to 15 minutes and walk out with license in hand!
Yes
In person or I think online
Franklin County Municipal Courthouse on High st. 23rd floor
Probably just a few dollars
Your marriage license is the document used to file your marriage immediately following the wedding. You will need to request a copy of your marriage abstracts, which are $2 each and can be ordered in person at the court house or online.
I'm not sure. But, call the number on the website. A human always answers
If the marriage license is yours, has been properly filled out and submitted by someone licensed to perform marriage ceremonies, you can order what are called Marriage Abstracts, which are certified copies of your (or said person's) marriage license. It costs $2 each and you can order them in person or online.
I believe it was $60 for the license. After youre married you bring back the portion you have to return filled out by the officiant then you can buy abstracts for $2 each
You can get a marriage license from anywhere and register it anywhere.
You don't need your old marriage license you need your divorce decree from your previous marriage to prove you are divorced
$65 plus $1.95 credit card fee if you use a CC
You need a valid photo ID and your social security number (but you don’t need the card).
