A little further than we thought from the "main" part of town, but 1 block away from a free bus station/city shuttle. The breakfast was super delicious and items were rotated throughout the week to keep things interesting. Waffle machine was always available. Rooms were clean, pool was clean.

The hotel itself is nice and the rooms were clean and well-appointed. As many have noted, the parking situation can be a bit challenging. Valet parking is $32/night, but there are several Palmetto Parking lots right next to the hotel for roughly $12 - $15/night. The Palmetto lots are park at your own risk, and they do place a boot on your car if you park in their lot without paying - they don't mess around. We chose to park in the $12/night lot directly behind the hotel, as we could see our vehicle out the window of our hotel room. We had no issues with the parking situation during our stay of 3 nights, and were able to save some $$$ in the process. As for the room, our family of 5 was able to fit comfortably and enjoyed the cleanliness of the room. The only issue we had was with the TV in the bedroom, as it needed to be reset every time it was turned off, which was a hassle. Our first night we notified the front desk and they called maintenance to our room. The maintenance associate explained that he gets 5-6 calls about the TV's per night and that you have to unplug cords, shut it on/off several times, and eventually the TV will work. I would think that there could be a better long term solution than having your guests have to shut if off repeatedly and pull cords to get the TV to work. Lastly, the location of the hotel is great. It is right by many shops and restaurants on King Street, so there are a lot of offerings if you're looking for a meal. It is about a mile drive from the hotel down to the Market Street shopping area, and even further if you're heading to the Battery, Rainbow Row, or the maritime center. While you could walk to those areas from the hotel, we found that with the high heat in the 90's during our stay, a quick car ride was better suited. All in all it is a decent hotel, just some minor inconveniences.

A great hotel located near everything. The room rates were reasonably priced. The rooms were great, recently remodeled, or at least it felt like it. The staff was wonderful too. Very polite and courteous. If you’re traveling to Charleston and need a hotel this one is great. The only drawback is parking. The hotel only has valet parking. You can save money by parking on the street or in a nearby parking lot but you’ll have more security and peace of mind if you use valet. There is a fair amount of homeless people that reside in Charleston. I had no issues but I know others may feel uneasy.

Kinda. They have a "lunch lady" fill a to-go box with whatever you want.
Single cup. I bought a 12 cup at Target for my room. There is also unlimited fresh coffee in the lobby. They do a great job of keeping this stocked.
Hi Marta! Unfortunately no we do not offer a shuttle service.
Yes, there are a few corner marts on King St within a quarter mile and a proper grocery about a mile away on East Bay.
Nasty dogs? The guests are filthier then the dogs. Service dogs always allowed
Yes. Valet at $22/day
Not really, parking is tough in the area. They have valet parking
Valet only for the hotel parking, but plenty of space. And limited street parking that is free after 6pm.
Yes, fitness room with dumbbells
