We had a lovely time. Our site was very shady and backed to enough trees that we really could not see the site behind us. We were flanked by seasonal sites and they were not there while we stayed. Oddly we had to manually fill the water though sine the sewer hookup and electric was on one side and the water on the far other side rendering our hose too short. Camp store has great prices on ice cream and minimally stocked otherwise. Waterfront is pretty, but boulders in the water make swimming a bit challenging. We will be back.

Our go to campground. It's close to home and it's right on the water. But in order to get descent side you have to book in Jan. Very clean, quiet and great rocks on the beach.

Throughout the years since 1975 Forrester Park campground has been a nice place to visit. Bring Everything you'll need to make this a Better stay. Store hours and selection are sub par. They do have Great ice cream Still and bags of ice which made it worthwhile. Ensure when you book you keep your receipt. While enjoying a town visit our cabin locks were changed, this was an Embarrassing error on their office clerks part but belittling to my family. The beach and park are lovely, the park cleaners are friendly. This is Not the same park we've been to for all these years. The bathroom and showers are Great next to the playground, but somewhat Dated in the older area. If we come back we'll bring our own coffee or be prepared to drive to the gas station North of the park. Local fire wood South of campground at $3/bundle. The pavilion area was under construction and usually there is Welcome activity at the horseshoe pits or volleyball area. Get it together Forrester Staff, make this the Campground of Old.

No. You can walk them down the trail and off to the side is a grassy part...the right of the trail "south"...that's technically not "the beach". Just a loophole if you're interested in taking a chance.
In some parts of the park they do. But it's not very strong and when the park is full you don't have internet
Yes, all campsites and cabins have their own fire pits available for consumer use
The cabins have bunk beds and can sleep two on top and two on bottom with room in the cabin for an air mattress.
Yes there is a mini fridge and a microwave.
Currently, 6/2019, there is NO breach due to the high lake levels.
I rented the cabins for 65$ a night.
Yes I believe you can rent in Lexington , Sanalac county is all by the lake. Look up Sanalac County for info
It was last Saturday.
Call and ask them!!
I believe you can but I am not sure what kind of trails they have for riding, if any at all.
You should call the office. 810-622-8715
