My stay at Pine Run Health & Rehab was excellent. The nursing care was great. The Dining Facilities were very clean. Food was above average but could’ve been hotter. But then I discovered they outsource 98% of their foods therefore trying to heat the items in warming trays isn’t so great. I sent things back to be reheated in their microwave. Even my coffee. But the young people who waited on us were beyond excellent! The ladies in charge of extra curricular activities were just wonderful. My 2 week stay was great. My sincere thanks to Chris, Debbie, Deb, Carla, Damie, Hope, Bill my PT, the entire Dining Staff and so many more!!! And my special “meal buddies”, Bonita, Kathryn, Lori, Thelma, Occa, Eileen, Cyndi, Bill and Ben!

Nice campus, but very expensive and hard to get the money out when you leave (6 months or longer). Because this is owned by a corporate hospital conglomerate it is geared towards keeping seniors locked in their system. This means they want them to use their hospitals and will assess seniors regularly for dementia to upsell them into the other facilities they run and upcharge on companion care. The other facilities they run are nowhere near the level of facilities at the main campus. You can think of this transition as moving from an apartment to a hospital room. I would strongly advise visiting those other facilities before you consider this place as permanent home and read all the fine print in their contracts. They reserve the right to kick seniors out and dictate where they live. If you are ok with this notion, or if you have long term care and the money this is a decent choice, but be aware of the caveats. The staff is good and caring, but seems like there is a high turnaround because of the corporate element. Lots of rules also for how things have to be done there. I moved my mom out of this place and left feeling this is run like a corporate cash cow vs. a really caring that wants to nurture senior health and quality of life. Your mileage may vary depending on your expectations and what is available in the area.

I was in the medical rehab section for my hip. They were great and I met people that live there and they really liked it there.
