Questions & Answers

where is the parking for this us court building

Elsa Williams | Oct 9, 2018
U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York | Oct 9, 2019

Street parking is available around Niagara Square and parts of Delaware and Elmwood Avenues. There are lots available on West Mohawk Street between Elmwood and Delaware and also between Delaware and Franklin. There are also parking ramps on Franklin St. at Niagara St. and West Huron. Perhaps the closest but less obvious parking ramp is located on Niagara Street at the intersection of West Mohawk.

Please contact the Court's Jury Administrator. Please call the telephone number listed on your summons. (It's different depending on whether you were summoned to the Buffalo or Rochester courthouse.) We receive many phone calls, so please leave a message and we promise someone will return your call to address your specific concern. Thank you.

What is the phone number to the Pro Bono lawyer?

Liddell Harris | Oct 8, 2020
U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York | Oct 8, 2020

The court does not have a pro bono lawyer on staff. The court appoints pro bono attorneys from the local bar to handle a variety of cases. If you are a pro bono attorney and need to contact the coordinator, you can contact the Clerk's office at 716-551-1700 (Buffalo) or 585-613-4000 (Rochester). If you are a litigant who has been assigned a pro bono attorney, you should contact the chambers of the judge presiding over the case to obtain that information.
