Very clean and well maintained beach at South Lake Tahoe. The water is crystal clear and lots of trees for shade and plenty of benches to relax. Lot of space for parking and have good restrooms. The beach had a parking fee of $10.

Beautiful beach! To sunrise lovers.. you should come check it out!
It is allowed but it should not be loud and bother people around you. Once I saw people complaint to the park ranger and folks that were playing loud music got a written warning.
It is easy to get to and it is a wide beach with a shaded area with beautiful pine trees, they charge 10 dollars. By car and it is advisable to arrive early because it fills up and the entrance is closed, luck to enjoy blessings
Yes, Gated access; open Memorial Day Weekend through mid-October; Attendants are on duty during operating hours to provide any assistance. Charcoal grilling is allowed only within the grills provided. No dogs allowed. Day use fee of $8/vehicle ($4.00 for Senior and Access Pass holders). 4th of July day use is $20/vehicle.
How much is the entrance fee for the holidays/regular days?

We paid $10 on a Tuesday in May (not a holiday,) and your ticket also gives you same-day access to Baldwin Beach and Meeks Bay Beach on the California side as well as Nevada Beach on the Nevada side (but not to any other beaches / parks.)
Yes fishing is allowed. Any person over 16 years old must have a valid California or Nevada sport fishing license. Visit one of the many Lake Tahoe fishing sites to learn more about fishing and the special regulations that are enforced at Tahoe.
No dogs allowed in the summer. You may be allowed to take your dog to the beach during fall/ winter.
However if you drive further to kiva beach, dogs are allowed.
We're bringing our own inflatable kayak and paddle board. I saw something about kayaks having to have an inspection - where do we need to go for that? What are they inspecting for?

We took our kayak to be checked and they said it didn't apply to that, unless you know you've been where the little creatures, I forget what but some kind of muscle or clam. Boats more at risk.
As long as it's not a holiday or a Friday, you can safely arrive anytime before 4pm and you should be able to park in the lot and find a good spot on the beach. $10 parking fee and closes at 9pm.
Iβve searched for an answer all over and for every βyesβ thereβs a βnoβ
Are there at least small dogs allowed?

No, there are no dogs allowed of any size at! The only beach that allows dogs of all sizes is Kiva Beach, which is located further down the road from Pope beach.
Actually, any day mid-week, but we're talking about relatively, compared to weekends. The best game plan is get there a little before noon, no later than 1.
We just got back from Lake Tahoe 3 days ago! Gorgeous!
Single...1hr $25, 2hr $35, full day (5-8hr) $65
Double.. 1hr $35, 2hr $55, full day (5-8hr) $85.
Weather changes dramatically from seaon to season. At summers height it can get into the 80s. In summer the water can get into the upper 60s the first TOP 12" but the wave action mixes things up. Kids don't seem bothered by it. Did you know that enough water evaporates at times to provide a daily supply for a city the size of Los Angeles?
