DR. Potter is Amazing! I had the best experience through 2 separate surgeries and her staff is the most caring and professional. If you need surgery I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Elisabeth Potter.

While Dr. Potter and her team were extremely nice, the procedure was botched and had to be fixed by another surgeon. I went to Dr. Potter for FTM top surgery. I felt confident with having her preform the procedure and she eased a lot of my concerns at our consultation. However, she preformed the procedure differently than she said she would, resulting in severe complications. When I asked why she did something other than we had discussed, her reason did not make sense to me. I had to have the surgery completely redone by an expert in gender confirming surgeries. When they saw the results of my procedure with Dr. Potter, they photographed my chest to be included in a paper they were writing about botched top surgeries. While I’m sure Dr. Potter is extremely knowledgeable as a chest reconstructive surgeon, I would not recommend her to anyone seeking gender confirming operations.

Is it weird to be sad when you're done with reconstruction and are told you don't need to be seen again for a whole year? Probably, but that's a testament to how wonderful Dr. Potter and her team are. I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy and chose Dr. Potter for reconstruction (immediate placement of tissue expanders which were later exchanged for silicone implants). First off, she's an incredible surgeon and I couldn't be happier with the results. But just as important, Dr. Potter and her entire team are lovely humans who made me feel cared for in every interaction. They somehow make going to doctor's appointments an enjoyable experience and thanks to them this whole process was significantly easier (both physically and mentally) than I had anticipated. I can't recommend them highly enough.
