The lady that answer the phones is rude! So rude! Blames me for yelling at her. When she’s constantly yelling at me and talking over me asking if there’s some other help I can get. Other then waiting. Because state congress told me to call here. She’s working customer service and can’t handle giving customers service respectfully. Hope she ain’t try to mess with my file. Prolonging thing. With her attitude. If she doesn’t like her job. She should quit and get someone a job that can be more professional. Bad enough people having hard time getting help and information. Don’t need someone like her being rude yelling and talking over you. Even when you tell her she’s talking over you and yelling. She gets smart and sat okay say what you wanted to say. Then still talk over you

Went on a Tuesday morning around 10:30 near the end of the month. There were about five people in line in front of us outside the office. Waited about 10 mins (inside building with AC) and got in. Every staff was attentive. Took about 20 mins to get my old ssn updated. Couldn’t complain. When we got out, there was no line. Seems a less busier day for that day.

You have to wait for hours due to lack of staff

Small but great facility. Small and was here at 9:07am, got in around 9:54am on a Friday. Once you are in, fairly quickly. I didn't make an appointment because it was a headache as everyone else mentioned. I did the walk-in. There are visitor parkings at the front and when you are up, the line is indoor so you have AC. Overall it's a very pleasant experience. Expect the wait time as any other SSD office.

If I need to make an appointment for applying for Medicare b can I do so, when I applied I never asked for B and Received only A please help
Do you need an appointment for social security?
How do I make an appointment to change my name on my social security card
Why bother, they never answer.
What is the form needed for initial enrollment in Medicare.
Dont think so
Huh???
I just walked in and got an appointment right away
You can get partial Social Security at 60 and when you turn 65 you can get full
No you don’t need to have an appointment.
Go to the office or create an online account verifying your identity.
Go there in person they do walk ins
You don't have to call social
If you can go local office that will be great, otherwise internet is a good source of information
Not required, walk-in allowed
The SSA staff was very helpful to me. I had taken the appointment but currently it seems appointments are not been taken on phone. Try going there in-person with all the required documents. Generally, visiting it in the morning preferred at any place because at least they have some time to squeeze some people in rather than at the end of the day.
Go early in the morning. There is a line for appointments and another for non appointments. Trying to call is a major waste of time.
Yes, they are open as of yesterday. You don't need an appointment to get in.
I believe you have to make appointments
Only by call
Go to the building directly and ask they dont really answer the phone they usually at lunch between 12:30 to 1:30pm so do before or after that time
Yes. No appointmet they wont even let you in office.
Call this number 18776002852

Call A SAP
All the documentation you needed when you originally applied, as well as proof of new address, unfortunately it is like reapplying.
Hi James I do not work with soc security dept. sorry
9am to 4 pm except they close at 12 pm Wednesdays. Closed on weekends
It's always best to make an appointment, but if you need to get in, you can simply go to your particular Social Security office, you take a ticket and wait for your number to be called, it is advisable to arrive as early as possible, most branches open at 9am, Woodbridge/Edison, has recently changed their operating hours, check their website for hours and their phone number.
Yes why not SSA is a government office not a state one they provide services no matter where you from. (you have to get early because visitors parking are limited
www.ssa.gov or i suggest going as soon as they open or mid-day (when most other people are at work)
What do you mean . ?
Best thing to do is get birth certificate if u have drivers license , wedding or divorce papers too , a utilty bill helps too. Then you can get soc security card.
File your disability application on line. Complete your medical history in detail and you will be notified after you submit your claim if any documents are required.
Available on line services are at socialsecurity.gov make sure to type Gov not com
Yes free it says visitor parking for SS
No. Just walk in. I suggest to go there early. Depends on your case. Could be anywhere from 15 min. -1hr. Wait time varies so its hard to have a set wait time. But on avg. I would say about 10-20 min. Wait. 30min. If it is full.
Monday to Friday. Regular business hours. Closed holidays. Its a government entity. Not open weekends
Yes, it was
No closed
