We went in as a family to get a passport taken care of for my toddler son. They were very rude, unhelpful and unwilling to provide and actual help. I will never be back and I see why the reviews are so bad. Clearly these employees hate theirs jobs. Stay clear - I wouldn’t be surprised if someone went “postal” soon. Be warned.

This post office is great. They have what you need for shipping supplies and Mark is my favorite employee. He knows his stuff and has a no BS approach. I know he’ll handle all of my postal needs efficiently. I heard a customer talking to another employee about him while mark was right there, calling him a robot. It was insane. I disagree and feel that the customer was really out of line if Mark gets to see this. I really wanted to speak up but felt that it may make the situation worse. Anyway, I go out of my way to come to this post office because it’s predictable and I know I’ll be able to do what I need to do.

Post office workers are incompetent and rude here. My package said delivered to my mail box. When I went out there was a slip saying it was too full (definitely not considering I checked it the day before). Go to said post office and am told my mail was returned to sender because it was over 10 days old. Once again not true because I checked it the day before. They told me I never received any packages and both postal workers were extremely pushy to get me out and rude as could be. I know they stole my packages and they’re lucky I was able to get my money back through my bank. Children would be more honest and more competent. Would rather be stabbed in my eyeballs before dealing with this post office ever again.

I have used this post office five times now and three of those visits I interacted with customer service. They are usually pretty busy but keep the line moving well. The place is always clean and they keep the free flat rate shipping boxes well stocked. They have always answered my questions, scanned my packages so I can get a receipt, and been very friendly and polite. One of the better post offices in Salem. I have been to each one since I ship about 10-20 packages a month. I generally choose my post office by where I'm doing errands for the day.

It depends on size and weight. I use the machine in the lobby to send boxes because it gives me several choices and prices
Yep!

You'll need to go into the main office on 25th and speak to someone in the passport office. They handle the lock changes there.
Federal holidays are usually given off for federal workers. I personally got some mail on the 5th, but not the 4th, but I do not have a post box at this location.
Contact your local carrier supervisor or go to USPS. Com and initiate an inquiry.
Just head to the front desk. Make sure you have some ID with you.

Please rephrase your question. what are you trying to ask?
Yes
You will have to go to the main post office
Is there an actual number to call them? I just the stupid automated thing
Leave a note on your door or mailbox saying that you are expecting a package soon and you would prefer they not deliver it but leave notice instead
Request a new key. And it may cost you to replace it.
Yes, for a limited time i think from 10-1, there is a door with a buzzer
You are better to bring your own. Often the box size you need will place you in a higher price bracket than what you need. Ex. $35 vs $9.95. I generally go to the grocery store (free) or office max to get mine, $1.99 depending on the size. Oh, and use your own tape or they will make you buy a tape dispenser
You need to call, but generally you walk in, get your picture, pick up the app and return when the picture is done and hand it in...
Yes and yes.
